Cayuga Medical Center Surgical Center Addition Commissioning

Cayuga Medical Center Surgical Center Addition Commissioning

Erdman Anthony provided commissioning services for the new Cayuga Medical Center lab addition. The project consisted of a 13,080 sq ft., single-story addition to house clinical laboratories at the medical center.

The owner sought a LEED-NC v3.0 (2009) rating from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). As such, commissioning was required to meet the criteria of Energy & Atmosphere Prerequisite 1 (EApr1)–Fundamental Commissioning of Building Energy Systems. The owner also requested that commissioning services be broadened to meet the requirements set forth in EAc3–Enhanced Commissioning.

In addition, Erdman Anthony completed and submitted a New York State Energy Research and Development (NYSERDA) Building Commissioning Certification as part of commissioning support of the NYSERDA Technical Analysis incentive program.
