Erdman Anthony was contracted by the Town of Pittsford to provide engineering services for the development of this 15-acre parcel. The undeveloped area surrounded an existing stormwater detention facility. The project included a water main extension, connections to existing sanitary sewer system, a park access road from NYS Rte 252, two pavilions, and a parking area. A walking trail was also included in the project that required a pedestrian bridge over the primary stream feeding the detention facility. Approvals were required from reviewing agencies such as the County Planning and County Health departments and the NYS Department of Transportation.
Erdman Anthony provided engineering services during construction, which was primarily handled by the Town’s forces. Erdman Anthony worked closely with the Town to overcome constructability barriers and evaluated the potential use of box culverts available from the Town.
The Town was able to maintain a very tight schedule and make change orders during construction due to laudable efforts enhanced by the relationship with Erdman Anthony.
