Brewerton Terminal Pier

This $2.9 million Canal Corporation Project at the west end of Oneida Lake removed the original 1908 pier and replaced it with 155 feet of commercial pier and 170 feet of recreational pier, tying that into a floating dock allowing for 625 feet of pier for docking and fishing for the public. The project constructed 12 steel cells anchored 60’ into the rock with reinforced concrete placed in the top of each cell. The first 155 feet was cast in place concrete and the remaining 170 feet used precast concrete beams to construct the pier. Tie-up bollards were restored, and new lighting and boat power centers were installed. Erdman Anthony’s Kevin Bailey was resident Engineer for the New York State Thruway Authority. This project was completed on time and under budget and was awarded the American Concrete Institute's 2015 Bronze Award for excellence in concrete design and installation.
