NYSERDA Kaleida Health Millard-Fillmore Hospital

Erdman Anthony performed an energy analysis and commissioning services to verify NYSERDA incentives for the new 150,000 sq ft, two-story addition to Millard-Fillmore Suburban Hospital in Buffalo NY. The addition spans the front of the existing 300,000 sq ft building and houses emergency, radiology, surgery, prep/recovery, lab research, registration, lobby, patient rooms, and power plant expansion.

Systems commissioned included: air handling units, lab & general exhaust systems, steam to water heat exchangers, secondary hot water system, chilled water system including new chiller and cooling tower, clean steam generator, VAVs for labs and offices, and DDC controls. Reviewed engineering specifications and drawings and generated and maintained the following documentation to facilitate the commissioning effort: comprehensive commissioning plan, functional testing, and site observation reports. Analyzed building management system historical trending data to confirm mechanical system performance.
