Country Club Village

Erdman Anthony completed the design, permitting, and construction plan preparation, as well as the inspection and certification of paving, grading, drainage, and a looped water main system and sanitary sewer gravity main extension to serve a 32-unit single-family subdivision.

Connection to the existing Village of Royal Palm Beach water system required a “wet” tap to avoid service interruption to the adjacent residential developments and golf/tennis club.  Additional construction was required to relocate the existing water main to avoid a new drainage structure required by the permitting agencies.  Service laterals were extended to each of the building lots using double services wherever possible.

A gravity sanitary sewer line was constructed by connecting to an existing main with the construction of a new manhole over the existing main.  The shallow system presented design constraints that dictated the grading of the proposed street system and impacted lot grades adjacent to the upstream termination of the sanitary sewer system.

Close design coordination of the sanitary sewer system, water main and storm drainage system were required due to the shallow design of the existing systems that were being connected to the new lines.  These potential conflicts were resolved through design workshops with village staff, accurate survey data of existing lines and reviewing the horizontal placement of the lines as well as the vertical locations.
