Term Agreement for Surveying Services

Erdman Anthony has been awarded three consecutive Term Agreements for Survey Services (TASS) with NYSDOT Region 8. To date, assignments have been completed in six counties, ranging in size and scope from 3-D roadway intersection surveys needed to assist in signalization redesign to a 23-mile-long highway boundary survey along NY Route 17.

The following assignments have been completed:

  • Terrestrial LiDAR Survey/Control Survey – 2008 – Route 1, Westchester County. Prepared Design Survey base files from terrestrial LiDAR scanning needed for the redesign of traffic intersections. (PIN 8809.17.101) 

  • Terrestrial LiDAR Survey/Control Survey – 2008 – NYS route 120 and 133, Westchester County. Prepared supplemental DTM from terrestrial LiDAR scanning along one kilometer of roadway. Extended existing control to the site by running 3-kilometer traverse. (PIN 8026.10.101)

  • Terrestrial LiDAR Survey/Control Survey – 2007 – Middletown Mall Connect Road, Orange County. Prepared supplemental DTM from terrestrial LiDAR scanning. (PIN 8086.01.101)

  • Terrestrial LiDAR Survey/Control Survey – 2007 – Route 17 Upgrade to I-86. Prepared supplemental DTM from terrestrial LiDAR scanning at 14 critical locations in the vertical profile. (PIN 8086.01.101)

  • ROW Survey – 2005-2007 – Route 17 Upgrade to I-86, Orange County. Location of highway boundary evidence along approximately 23 miles of NYS Rte. 17 from the Sullivan county line to the NYS Thruway, as well as the Crystal Run Road and Rte. 32 interchanges. Supplemental control reports were provided for each section. (PIN 8086.01.101, PIN 8006.72.101, PIN 8086.82.101, 8086.84.101)

  • Terrain Data/Control Survey – 2006 – Route 45, Rockland County. From New Jersey state line to NYS Rte. 59. (PIN 8074.16.101)

  • Terrain Data/Control Survey – 2005 – Route 45 Traffic Intersection Surveys, Rockland County. 800 meters of Main Street, Spring Valley, to be used for intersection improvements. Primary horizontal control was established by GPS survey, and an associated control report was prepared. (PIN 8809.15.102)

  • Terrain Data Survey – 2005 – Route 9W, Ulster County. Terrain data survey and mapping of 400-meter-long bridge approach. (PIN 8239.12.121)

  • ROW /Control Survey – 2005 – I-84 Drury Lane Interchange, Orange County. Location of highway boundary evidence in the vicinity of Stewart Airport for mapping of NYSDOT property to be conveyed for local economic development project. Four primary horizontal control traverses were run (totaling 5,200 meters) and an associated control report was prepared. (PIN 8062.05.101)

  • ROW Survey – 2005 – Taconic State Parkway, Dutchess and Putnam Counties. From Knapp Road to Interstate 84. (PIN 8126.48.101) Terrain Data Survey – 2004 – Rte 303 at Erie Street, Nyack, NY. Responsible for overseeing and editing DTM information before the subconsultant's submittal to the region.

  • Terrain Data Survey – 2004 – Routes 59 and 9W, Nyack, NY. Responsible for overseeing and editing DTM information before subconsultant's submittal to the region.

  • Terrain Data/Control Survey – 2004 – Route 9W, Highland, NY. Survey, data processing, control adjustment, and mapping of over 300 meters of a creek bank and bridge superstructure of the Rte 9W bridge.

  • Terrain Data Survey – 2004 – Route 9W/202 at Railroad Avenue, Nyack, NY. Responsible for overseeing and editing DTM information before subconsultant's submittal to the region.

  • Terrain Data/Control Survey – 2003 – Route 9 (Washington Avenue), Poughkeepsie, NY. Survey, data processing, control adjustment, and mapping of over 600 meters of an intersection.

  • Control/Photo Control Survey – 2003 – Route 17 (I-86) North, Middletown, NY. Survey, GPS processing, and control adjustment of 8 kilometers of highway that included over 50 photo control panels.

  • Control/Photo Control Survey – 2003 – Route 17 (I-86) South, Middletown, NY. Survey, GPS processing and control adjustment of over 28 kilometers of highway that included over 200 photo control panels.

  • Terrain Data/Control Survey – 2003 – Ravensdale, Greenburgh, NY. Survey, data processing, control adjustment, and mapping of over 800 meters of an intersection and bridge.

  • Terrain Data/Control Survey – 2003 – Route 9 (Clinton Avenue), Irvington, NY. Survey, data processing, control adjustment, and mapping of over 400 meters of an intersection.

  • Terrain Data/Control Survey – US Route 1, Traffic Intersection Surveys, Westchester County. Six intersections in the towns of Mamaroneck and Pelham. Primary horizontal control was established by GPS survey, and an associated control report was prepared. (PIN 8809.15.102)

Strict adherence to NYS Department of Transportation guidelines for CAD mapping, survey procedures, and reporting, as well as excellent communication between NYSDOT and Erdman Anthony have made these contracts successful.
