Our Projects

Erdman Anthony was the prime consultant providing construction administration, observation, and documentation for the rehabilitation of Interstate 376, from the Churchill interchange to the PA Turnpike interchange.

The project included milling, base repair, and resurfacing of the three-lane mainline section of I-376 westbound; interchange ramps; drainage; guide rail and end treatments; milling, base repair, and resurfacing of shoulders; bridge reconstruction and preservation work; acceleration and deceleration ramp lengthening; and signing and pavement marking for 4.4 miles that have an average daily traffic of 67,760 vehicles.

In addition to the roadway work, the project included a large-scale guide-sign upgrade effort partly required for redesignation of I-376 and portions of SR 0279 to I-376; extensive ITS improvements; and installation of an overheight truck-detection system for the nearby Squirrel Hill Tunnel.

In the 2010 through 2012 construction seasons, Erdman Anthony provided construction administration, observation, and documentation services for a similar range of roadway work for –I-376 – Section A40, which is the eastbound portion of the section described above.
