Designing for the Big Y Supermarket Automated Micro-Fulfillment Center

Big Y Supermarkets, the Massachusetts-based family-owned food retailer, has launched their myPicks online ordering program, supported by their new micro-fulfillment center in Chicopee, Massachusetts. The 12,000-square-foot automated facility will be able to provide online, contactless grocery service for more than 7,000 customers per week.

Erdman Anthony provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire-protection, and refrigeration design for this innovative robotics-powered facility.
