Harrisburg Office Takes Training Skills on the Road

Author: Erdman Anthony/Tuesday, March 10, 2020/Categories: Our people

Erdman Anthony’s construction team in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, office just wrapped up Winter School 2020, in time for spring projects to begin. This year, our team went a step farther by embarking on a training tour to help the industry with the topic of good written communications.

Every year, members of the Harrisburg office’s construction group use January and February for “winter school,” to review updates, safety, and construction practices and to explore specialized topics. This year’s training tour shared knowledge with over 1,500 people, including clients, contractors, and consultants in eight PennDOT regions.

Noel Caron, construction unit leader; Tim Fahrney, construction regional manager; Mike Harter, construction project manager; John Kopchik, quality and training specialist; and Paul Esslinger, construction engineer, presented on the topic of honing written-communication skills in a construction work environment.

Completing complex construction projects requires close coordination of a large team, including owners, contractors, and significant local stakeholders. A key element to delivering these projects successfully is good written-communication skills.

Our team’s expertise in this area is the result of its longtime experience participating in partnering environments, and it is also the result of Erdman Anthony’s commitment to people. Sharing our expertise is one of our core values, and it is important for the health of the construction industry.
