Improving Traffic Flow at a Southern Pennsylvania Interchange

Author: Erdman Anthony/Wednesday, May 19, 2021/Categories: In the Community, Our Industry, Our people

PennDOT District 8-0’s Shrewsbury interchange replacement project in York County, under construction now, will improve traffic safety and capacity for the growing commercial and residential communities served by Interstate 83 Exit 4.

The improvements include a wider bridge, a diverging-diamond interchange under the new bridge (the second in the state), and the relocation of Deer Creek through a 500-foot-long box culvert beneath the interchange.

Construction is scheduled to wrap later this year.

Erdman Anthony is providing construction management and construction inspection services for the project.
