Portions of the Pennsylvania Turnpike that had been built more than 65 years ago required replacement to the subgrade. This complex transportation project took three contractors and over 50 subcontractors five years to complete.
Erdman Anthony’s construction services unit oversaw the total reconstruction of 3.5 miles of America’s first superhighway, which included innovating a cost-saving technique to recycle the old concrete road grade.
