In the heart of Clewiston, Florida, is a thoroughfare that has for four decades served as a vital community link.

Hendry County’s goal to extend the roadway’s service life meant rehabilitating a key 1-mile segment, which serves a high school, recreational area, and important regional commerce, including U.S. Sugar and the South Central Florida Express Railroad. The project included milling and resurfacing; repairs to sidewalks and bridges; upgrades at crosswalks; and new guardrails, signage, and pavement markings.

Erdman Anthony was responsible for providing design plans for construction of these improvements as well as railroad coordination and permitting.
