When road construction season scales back for a New York winter, it’s a great time for transportation professionals to meet up with highway superintendents, commissioners, and their staff.

Members of Erdman Anthony’s transportation team ventured through the snow to the 2020 New York State County Highway Superintendents Association’s Winter Conference & Trade Show, which took place from January 21 to 23 in Saratoga Springs. Erdman Anthony was a silver sponsor of the conference.

Programming during the conference presented up-to-date methods and techniques for the new construction, maintenance and repair of county streets, roads and highways.

Highlights from the schedule included a session about a Southern Tier city’s main-street evolution that created a safer gateway to downtown. Another session focused on how to streamline county-highway operations with real-time Enterprise GIS.

Both topics are representative of the type of community-enhancing projects that Erdman Anthony’s transportation team tackles every day.

The conference also gave Erdman Anthony’s transportation marketing coordinator Brianne Byrnes and transportation engineers Chris Sichak and Ken Wojtkowski the chance to catch up with their industry peers.
