Erdman Anthony completed safety improvements for SR 858/Hallandale Beach Boulevard, a six-lane divided urban highway at the Interstate 95 interchange. The proposed improvement design consisted of realigning the southbound approach to improve the left-turning radii, extending the southbound off-ramp right-turn lane, reconfiguring the free-flow southbound right-turn lane to signal control, widening the northbound off-ramp to provide dual right turns, extending the NB off-ramp lanes to provide additional storage, replacing existing mast arms impacted by the aforementioned improvements or to better align signal heads with traffic lanes, and supplementing existing street lighting.
Additional improvements included drainage structure relocation or replacement, sidewalk and curb and gutter reconstruction, milling and resurfacing, guardrail replacement resulting from the impact of widening, and sign relocation and upgrades.
