Roadway Structural Improvement in Monroe County
This project entailed improvements along a 2.1-mile section of Pinnacle Road (County Route 92) in Rush, NY, between the Rush town line and Red Lion Road in Henrietta, NY. The improvements were necessary to preserve the structural integrity of the roadway and the investment in the highway system.
Erdman Anthony provided planning, final design, construction inspection, and construction support for the project. A drainage study was also completed as part of the preliminary analysis to develop a solution for the multiple drainage issues.
Pavement design, closed and open drainage system design, guide-rail replacement, landscaping, and signs and pavement markings were included in the final design.
The work also included utility relocations, widening for construction of new shoulders, roadside drainage (both ditching and closed systems), cold milling asphalt recycling, asphalt resurfacing, stormwater-runoff treatments, and landscaping.
Implementation of this preventive maintenance project immediately improved the riding surface for motorists and reduced future costs for Monroe County.
