System Build-Out

SBA Network Services, Inc. has partnered with Erdman Anthony to develop and design more than 150 wireless telecommunication tower sites to serve wireless providers in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Vermont. Tower types have included freestanding lattice towers, monopoles, and guyed towers. The wireless provider’s infrastructure typically has included equipment shelters, equipment platforms, utility racks, and slab-on-grade construction to house radio equipment. For each site, standard professional services provided by Erdman Anthony included zoning audits, site walks and site evaluations, tower siting, preparation of zoning drawings, construction drawings, phase 1 environmental assessments, photo simulations, visual assessments, SEQR documentation, SHPO consultation, and NEPA screenings. In addition to the above, topographic, planimetric and property surveys were provided to support land acquisition activities. Erdman Anthony prepared Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) 1A or 2C certification letters as required, certifying the position and elevation of these sites. During construction, Erdman Anthony also provided construction administration services, construction observation services, and construction stakeouts on an as-need basis.
