Erdman Anthony provided signalization and lighting design services for a 2.75-mile FDOT, District 4 in-house mobility improvement project in Palm Beach County. The project limits were from Broward/Palm Beach County Line to SR 808/Glades Road.
The signalization scope included upgrading the SR 7—Boca Woods Lane intersection to mast arms, replacing signal controllers and video-detection equipment at all signalized intersections within the project’s limits, and installing signal interconnect to eliminate gaps in the existing signal communication network.
Lighting work included replacing existing light poles impacted by widening for bike lanes throughout the corridor for mobility improvement, and it involved adding lighting retrofits at all signalized intersections within the project’s limits to meet FDOT’s latest lighting design standards for improved safety.
Erdman Anthony also provided post-design services for the project. Construction for the project was completed in 2018.
