Wind Siting and Permitting Services

THE PROJECT
Developers of community wind energy conversion systems (WECS) that generate clean, renewable electricity are required to navigate lengthy processes and overlapping requirements involved in obtaining zoning variances, site plan approvals, and special use permits from local municipalities having jurisdiction. 

Erdman Anthony was selected to provide permitting services for the projects.

FEATURES/SOLUTIONS
In addition to permitting services, our firm also provides siting services that include:
•    Boundary and topographical site survey and mapping 
•    Predesign site reconnaissance
•    Review of existing zoning regulations
•    Site plan development and preparation
    o    Evaluate and assess site accessibility
    o    Design, layout, and develop proposed site grading
    o    Prepare the SEQR Full Environmental Assessment Form
    o    Prepare local municipal application documents
    o    Prepare Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP)
    o    Assist client with public presentations and written responses to review comments
